How to clean a Sonic Toothbrush

Sonic toothbrushes can be expensive, so it's critical that you thoroughly clean yours regularly to optimize its use. You should clean your Sonic toothbrush thoroughly every 3 months to rid it of bacteria and viruses that tend to build up on toothbrushes. This help to eliminate stink from the toothbrush as well.

Replace the brush head

Most sonic toothbrush on the market featured replaceable brush head. The head is disposable and relatively cheaper than the handle itself.

Clean the toothbrush by soaking in a cleaning agent

For example, alcohol. Make sure the head is off the brush if possible. Soak the toothbrush for about 30 - 60 minutes, giving the germs time to be removed from the toothbrush. This will sterilize the brush and make it safer to use.

Rinse the brush
You do not want to put it in your mouth immediately after it's been cleaned. Rinse off the brush with hot water and maybe even some soap. Do this for several minutes, to be certain that the cleaning agent and germs are gone from the brush.

Let the brush sit overnight

A backup toothbrush is ideal for the process of cleaning your electric Sonic toothbrush. This gives the Sonic time to become sterile and for everything to soak in and dry.

Replace the head of the toothbrush before use
If, during use, you smell the cleaning agent or can in some other way tell that it's still there, rinse off the brush some more with hot water and soap and let it sit for another night.

Use the sanitizer
Some sonic toothbrush comes with UV sanitizer. Use it regularly to remove germs and bacteria from your toothbrush (especially the brush head). However, not all parts of the toothbrush are recommended to sanitize. Read your product manual for more information.

How many teeth does an adult human have?

Quoted from wikipedia:

Permanent teeth are the second set of teeth formed in humans. There are thirty-two permanent teeth, consisting of six maxillary and six mandibular molars, four maxillary and four mandibular premolars, two maxillary and two mandibular canines, four maxillary and four mandibular incisors.

The four last adult teeth, one at the back of every arch will appear between the ages of seventeen and twenty-one years. This is the reason they are named wisdom teeth.

So the short answer is 32.

Difference between a sonic toothbrush and an ordinary electric one

A sonic toothbrush buzzes over your teeth at much higher speed than a normal electric toothbrush, not only brushing away the plaque but also creating waves of turbulence in the toothpaste and water in your mouth. Tiny bubbles form in the space between the toothbrush and the teeth, and these help to shift more plaque than brushing alone. So, when you’re using a sonic toothbrush, it helps if you have quite a bit of fluid near your toothbrush. Then you can actually feel an energetic sensation around your teeth as the pressure waves created by the brush do their work!

Video comparing Rotational Toothbrush vs Sonic Toothbrush

The head from a sonic tooth brush is just like an ordinary manual toothbrush. Unlike a standard electric toothbrush, it doesn’t contain a rotating mechanism. The whole brush head vibrates—and this can make sonic toothbrushes a little more tricky to use at first
